Brussels in a day- thickening waist as I taste and type

Lovely train trip from Amsterdam to Brussels early in the morning - had some interesting company on the train - Rasta Jah!~

Anyhow, arrived and found our Hotel which is in the thick of things here....great for us tourists.  Early on found the markets and made a couple of purchases of locally made rings....not too much bulk to carry around!  Jumped on and hop on and hop off tour of the city and enjoyed the commentary about the capital and country.

Of course, had to try the local delish belgium chocolate...exquisite to say the least.....waist thickening as I type (and taste).  Pitta good too and entertaining Greek host for lunch, in the sun listening to music in the markets...great stuff - we really know we are on holiday now.

Later jumped off at the Awesome Atomium - had a wander around and funnily enough both our camera batteries went flat - A sign we thought that it was wine o'clock!

Off to the Six Nations - served by a lassie from Dublin - which is where we are headed tomorrow - what a co-incidence....so stayed for dinner and watched part of the tennis 1/4 open while listening to the vast range of languages around us - predominantly french here, but so many tourists and visitors....Amazing....early start tomorrow to get to airport, buffet breakfast supplied, taxi and wake up call sorted....nite  xx
